Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help move our production capability from bench top through pilot plant to global infrastructure.  The Manufacturing Engineer will add strength to Angstrom’s existing team of design and manufacturing experts.  Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:      

    • Provide guidance to R&D and Product Design re design for manufacture
    • Design tooling, fixtures and custom manufacturing equipment
    • Research, specification, design and sourcing of unique process technologies
    • Application of Lean & Six Sigma principles in cell and facility design
    • Support the construction & qualification of manufacturing facilities and control systems capable of producing initial products while piloting high volume techniques for longer term
    • Identification and interaction with global contract manufacturing suppliers
    • Development of in-process quality systems
     
     
Qualifications:

    • Proven track record of manufacturing system development & operation
    • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering or an equivalent combination of training and experience
    • Knowledge of technologies & techniques for high volume manufacturing automation
    • Experience in solid modeling - SolidWorks or equivalent.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team (excellent interpersonal and communication skills).
    • Demonstrated creativity in developing product and manufacturing strategies
